The Red Sea coast is a watersports playground: a boat to Orange Bay, a jet ski on the lagoon, a banana ride behind a speedboat, a dive in the Blue Hole of Dahab. These are the active half of a beach holiday.
The boats leave from the jetty of the hotel strip in Hurghada, from the marina of El Gouna and from the shore in Dahab, and the pick-up from the hotel is included in every trip. The water sports stations are a few minutes from the beach hotels, and the meeting point is on the voucher.
The sea is warm from April to November and the wind is calmest in the morning, which is when the boat trips leave. In winter the water is cooler but the sea is the same blue, and the prices drop. The night rides and the jet skis need daylight for the operators to run them safely.
